All reptiles need heat to regulate their body temperature, but for desert lizards heat is the key to their happiness! To keep your lizard healthy, be sure to provide proper UVA and UVB lighting. UVA stimulates desert lizard activity, especially with regard to feeding and breeding, while UVB allows them to metabolize calcium.
